Who we are

SKI for MS is the ski and snowboard event of the season. With on-mountain activities, swag, prizes, and a bomber après, SKI for MS brings together participants of all ages, abilities, and skill levels for an epic all-day event that transforms the lives of families living with MS.

An Impact 39 Years in the Making

In 1985, 10 Olympians rallied in Alyeska, Alaska, skiing 1 million vertical feet in 24 hours. Their cause was Jimmie Heuga, diagnosed with MS just six years after winning the Bronze Medal in Slalom at the Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria, in 1964.

Together, these athletes raised the seed money Jimmie needed to start his own nonprofit: Can Do Multiple Sclerosis. Through Can Do MS, Jimmie pioneered a new standard of MS care that transformed the lives of families living with MS.

Thirty-seven years and thousands of friends later, SKI for MS has become an epic mountain event where skiers and boarders shred the slopes, sending families living with MS to the life-changing programs only Can Do MS provides.
