Lin and Lauris Wade: 2021 and The MS Global that Wasn't
It has been a heck of a year. Best laid plans have again been set aside.
Coronavirus and Western Fires have now claimed another victim. Last year, the pandemic led to cancellation of the 2020 MS Global in Oregon. The event was rescheduled and everything going "relatively" smoothly. Then fires hit the Western United States. An idea to move the event to Colorado then ran squarely into logistics problems driven by the Delta Variant. And 2021 MS GLOBAL was no more.
God willing, 2022 will see a rejuvenation of all that makes life wonderful, including MS Global.
All that said, friends and family with MS still have to live with MS! And CanDo MS continues to offer programs to people working toward living their best life with this disease. I am happy to report that MS Global continues it's fund raising and is nearing its goal, even without a Bike Ride.
And while it is always inspirational to watch Lin and her fellow riders with MS take on the challenges of the Ride, MS Global is NOT ABOUT THE RIDE. It's not about getting together with friends or seeing what Tyler Hamilton is up to. (Although those things are great!)
MS Global is a group of 40 or so people committed to raising over 200K annually because they want to make life better via CanDo programs that significantly impact the lives of patients with MS.
100% of every dollar donated supports MS Global Scholarships, making it possible for families with MS to receive full scholarships for Can Do MS health and wellness education programs on exercise, nutrition, symptom management, and motivation to help them thrive.
Will you consider making a donation to MS Global on our behalf?
I have seen firsthand the impact their programs have on people with MS and their families. Every dollar counts to help give more people with MS a life-changing experience.
Please consider what you can do to help people living with MS right now.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
